Life as an International Student Living in the UK

31/10/2023

Hey there! So, you’re thinking about becoming an international student in the UK, or maybe you’re already here. I’ve been on this exciting journey and I’m here to share my experiences and tips with you. From the early days back home to settling into my new Hello Student home, it’s been quite a ride.

Starting from Home

Before I even set foot in the UK, I was navigating the process back in my home country. Here are a
few tips to make this part of the journey
 smoother.

  • Visa Preparation: The visa application can be a
bit daunting, so start early. Make sure you have
all the required documents, and consider seeking guidance from your university’s international office.
  • Accommodation Research: Choosing the right
place to stay is essential. Look for student accommodation that have a good reputation, like Hello Student. They can simplify the process and
ensure you have a comfortable home away from home.
  • Packing Wisely: When it comes to packing,
think about the UK’s unpredictable weather.
Bring a mix of clothes suitable for all seasons. Don’t forget some home comforts to make your new space feel cosier.

Settling into my Hello Student Home

I opted for Hello Student accommodation, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Here’s why.

  • Supportive Community: The sense of community here is incredible. I’ve met fellow international students who share similar experiences, and we’ve become fast friends.
  • Convenience: Hello Student made the moving process a breeze. Everything I needed was ready in my new room, and I didn’t have to worry about the hassles of setting up utilities or furniture.
  • Safety: Safety is a top priority for me. Hello Student properties are secure, and I can focus on my studies without any concerns.

Exploring the UK

Living in the UK isn’t just about studying. It’s a chance to explore a new culture. Here are a few recommendations:

  • Explore Local Eateries: British cuisine is more than just fish and chips. Try local dishes, visit cosy pubs, and explore international cuisine as well.
  • Weekend Getaways: Take advantage of the UK’s location and explore Europe. Quick flights or train rides can get you to fantastic destinations in no time.
  • Cultural Experiences: don’t miss out on the UK’s rich cultural scene. Museums, theatres, and historic sites are abundant and worth a visit.

Living as an international student in the UK has been an incredible journey. From the preparations back home to settling into my Hello Student home, it’s been an adventure filled with learning and growth. I’ve met fantastic people, explored beautiful places, and enjoyed the support of my Hello Student community.

If you’re considering living with Hello Student, I highly recommend it. The convenience, security, and friendly atmosphere make it an excellent choice.
I hope my experiences and tips have been helpful as you navigate your own journey as an international student in the UK.
