Ready to secure your room with Hello Student? Before you begin your booking, please make sure you have the following information and documents to hand:

• A valid form of photo identification, such as a passport or driving licence
• Proof of your home address, such as a recent utility bill or bank statement
• Your university offer letter
• Details of your UK guarantor (unless you intend to pay your rent in full or would like to use a guarantor service)
• A payment card or bank account details

Please be aware that a £250 advance payment is required to secure your booking, payable by card via the online booking journey. This payment will secure your room whilst you complete your final booking steps. After you have made this payment, you will have 7 days to sign your agreement, or your booking will be automatically cancelled. The advance rent payment will be deducted from your first rent instalment, which is due before you move in. The advance rent payment is refundable if a) you do not sign the agreement within 7 days and the booking is automatically cancelled, b) you cancel your booking before you check in and do not accrue any arrears. It will be refunded to the card you paid with.

Booking your room

1. Select your city of study.
2. Find your preferred property and select View Rooms.
3. Choose your academic year and preferred tenancy length.
4. Select View Rooms and Tenancies to view room availability, pricing, tenancy start dates, and property photos.
5. Once you’ve found the right room, select Book This Room.
6. Create an account so you can save your progress and return to your application at any time.
7. Complete each section of the booking form, including your personal details, study information, room selection, guarantor details and payment details. If you do not have a UK guarantor, you can choose to pay your rent in full or use a guarantor service.
8. Once your payment details have been processed, you’ll receive a confirmation by email.
9. To finalise your booking, you’ll need to verify your ID and complete the student agreement.
