How to book

Booking online is the easiest way to secure a room with us – just choose your city, find the property that you love, choose a room, then follow the steps from there.

Alternatively, you can call or email us to book, using the number or email address that you’ll find on your chosen property’s page.

Or book in person. Just visit the building and our accommodation team can answer all your questions, show you around the building, and help you book.

Make sure you have your photo ID, proof of address and university acceptance letter to hand as you’ll be needing these documents to complete your booking application and secure your new home from home.

Please be aware that a £250 advance payment is required to secure your booking. This amount will be applied towards your first instalment. Kindly note that this payment is non-refundable.

Booking online

Step 1

Visit the Hello Student website and select your city: https://www.hellostudent.co.uk

Step 2

After choosing your city, a dropdown menu will appear with specific housing information. Find your desired apartment and click “Discover property.” You’ll be able to see the various room types available in the apartment. Click “Select Room.”

Step 3

Now, you can view the room type, rental period, and specific price information. Choose your preferred floor, and the apartment will try to allocate rooms according to your preferences.

Step 4

Fill in your information carefully to ensure accuracy:

  • Personal details: Provide your name, nationality, and age.
  • Home address: Enter your country, city, and zip code.
  • Study details: As Hello Student only accepts students, make sure to complete this section.
  • After filling in these details, you’re more than halfway through your reservation.
Step 5

Next, proceed to payment. If paying in instalments, you’ll need to provide a guarantor. Your guarantor must be over 25 years old and can be based in the UK or internationally. They agree to cover your rent if you’re unable to make a payment. Click Add Guarantor to enter their details and send them an invitation.

If you don’t have a guarantor, you can still pay in instalments by using a guarantor service such as Housing Hand, who can act as your guarantor for a small fee. We’ll verify the service before confirming your booking.

If you’re using a guarantor service, please enter the following details only:

First Name = Guarantor
Last Name = Service
Email Address = guarantor.service@hellostudent.co.uk

Step 6

After completing the payment details, you’ll be prompted to register for an account. Click “Sign up now,” enter your email, and you’ll receive a confirmation email with a verification code.

Step 7

Once logged in, you’ll reach the Personal Main Interface where you can view the reservation steps. Follow the prompts to update your emergency contact, verify your student ID, complete the student agreement, and finalise your reservation.

  • My Details: The system will autofill this section. If you have any special requests, leave a comment, and they’ll do their best to accommodate you.
  • Emergency Contacts: Enter your parents’ or relatives’ information.
    Study Details: Verify the pre-filled information.
  • ID Check: Click here to complete your ID check through face recognition and passport upload.
  • After verification, return to the Finish my booking interface and submit your details.

Final Steps

When you see “Submission completed successfully,” congratulations! Your room reservation is confirmed. Keep an eye on your email for the booking information and payment link for the apartment.
