What is the Renters’ Rights Act?
The Renters’ Rights Act comes into effect in England from 1st May 2026.
The Renters’ Rights Act 2026 gives tenants more protection. Landlords can no longer evict tenants without a valid legal reason, and rent can only be increased once per – along with other benefits to ensure fairness for the tenant.
